The full-time Otago MBA is a two-phase programme which can be completed in 15 months to 2 years depending on your elective choices in Phase 2.

Full-time Otago MBA Phase 1

Phase 1 comprises 10 months of on-campus study. 12 core subjects covering key business areas are specially designed for you. You will also engage in a live case study conducted in collaboration with the business community. In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, our comprehensive programme also includes a professional development programme, mentor programme, guest speakers, and business networking events.

Full-time Otago MBA Phase 2

Phase 2 offers you choices and flexibility. Students can choose to continue this part of their MBA studies through one of the following options:

  • on-campus in Dunedin,
  • international exchange or
  • a business project.

Together these options offer an extensive range of specialisations to support your career aspiration. Students who prefer to study on campus may choose any 3 specialisation electives run by the University of Otago Business School. Those who prefer to go on international exchange may choose from a list of about 20 world renowned business schools - further enhancing the international experience, without additional tuition fees.
