When we have a billionaire amongst our alumni, it is difficult not to brag about it, especially when he had put together a strategy for his business while at the Otago MBA programme. Graeme Hart, ranked by Forbes as the richest man in New Zealand (and fifth in Australasia), was in the Otago MBA 11 class.
“Forbes lists Mr Hart’s net worth at $US5.7 billion – down from the $US7.5 billion he was put at last year but up seven places on his 2011 listing. That leaves the former tow truck driver slightly behind former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, who is at No 169, with $US5.9 billion.” (Source: National Business Review, 24 May 2013)
Understandably Graeme appears often in the news. More about his business success is available in the NZ Herald, 24 May 2013.
